Monsoun was bred by Laureen Schmidt of Arinya Park in Romesy.
He is the son of the imported German Stallion 'Orlando' out of the beautiful and very successful Montego Bay daughter, Montinique.
Monsoun is a multi champion led horse, and debuted under saddle with Kate Dertell of Future Farms in 2006/2007 season. He had an exceptional first season, which culimated in him being named East Coast Champion Young Saddle Horse.
He followed his Champion Yearling Gelding title by being named 2009 Reserve Champion Senior Gelding at the Australian Championships and to show his versatility was awarded Top 10's in Open Saddle, Bridle Path Hack, Amateur Led and Dressage.
He was named Supreme Saddle Horse of the Show at the 2009 National Stud Show.
At the 2010 Australian Championships he competed with six different riders/handlers and came home with 3 Reserve Championships and 7 Top 10's.
